Now that you've seen Kendal Camp, it's a good time to talk about what there is to do around camp. Here are some ideas about things to do and what to pack...
Play cards |
Take a quick nap :) |
Enjoy some Blue Mountain Coffee |
Fly a kite |
Blow Bubbles |
Enjoy some late night snacks like PB&J and Jerk Chicken |
Spend your quiet time on the veranda |
Ultimate Frisbee |
Hoop it up |
Grab a snack, candy, or a Coke from the Tuk Shop located in the office |
Do something awesome for your S.E.P. (Secret Encouragement Partner). *Everyone is assigned another team member to encourage once a day during the week. At the end of the week, we'll reveal who was each other's secret partner. What should yo do for your S.E.P.? Pray for them, write a short note, and secretly deliver. (Be sneaky!) You can add some candy or gum if you want.. some people get pretty creative :) We'll talk more about S.E.P.'s later on.. |
Bubble gum blowing competition... :) |
Eat some snacks.. good things to bring: mini snack bags, crackers, granola bars, lollipops, LOTS of gum! No chocolate.. you can buy some from the Tuk Shop though :) |
Join the week long "Pole Ringing" competition. All you have to do is grab an acorn and aim for the pole at the front of the camp. If you have good enough aim, you'll hear a "ding!" Who will ring the pole the most times during the week? :)
DO NOT WORRY.. this is NOT a drop off! hahaha.. there's about a 2 foot drop onto a grassy area below, but it's fun taking pictures looking like you're jumping |
Enjoy a good meal |
& of course, there are plenty of opportunities to chop it up and build lasting relationships with your team members
